We are students at Hakuba High School in Nagano, Japan.
We LOVE our slopes.
We hope to keep riding in this beautiful valley renowned for its power snow, and we want our children and grandchildren to be able to do so.
To Save Our Snow, we need to take action now.
We believe many of you feel the same way. Let’s show the world the snow communities care and are ready to take action!
Here’s what we would love you to do…
✔︎ Write a message on the used cardboard to raise awareness for climate change, ride with it at your snow resort, and post the photos on SNS with #SaveOurSnow from Feb 2 to 12.
✔︎ Come up with one action you can take to fight the climate change and state it on your SNS post.
✔︎ Ask your home resort operator whether they use renewable energy (and if they don’t, ask them to switch!).
✔︎ Request the resort operator not to use single use plastic if they still do.
We are planning an on-slope climate march on February 2 at 白馬岩岳 Hakuba Iwatake at 11am and 2pm with handmade placards to raise awareness for climate change.
We hope many of you would do the same on your home mountain!
